It’s interesting how the Terminator movies played out. A consistent flash forward to the future where everything is destroyed and post apocalyptic while flashing back to the present to where post apocalyptic scenarios aren’t too likely yet. Anywho, are there similarities between our situation and the “Terminator” universe? Yes, Skynet, the company that made these vicious killing machines dealt with a similar Intelligence that became conscious. Although, we are achieving significant advancements extremely quickly, the outcome by Skynet isn’t too likely, in fact, we are extremely aware of these outcomes and are actively avoiding them as much as we are advancing.

What are the chances this could happen IRL. Im not sure but there is a real company that deals with surveillance, cameras, drones? It comes out of China and is eerily similar to the great movie franchise Skynet. Drones today are small versions of the drones in the Terminator franchise in-fact the drones China uses are almost the same look give or take some bulkiness. They were linked to false positives of facial recognition that lead to innocent men and women’s deaths. Seems questionable.

I asked ChatGPT what the likelihood of a complete AI domination of humankind and it said not likely. Sounds like something a suspicious piece of tech would say. Not really, ChatGPT scours the internet to find reputable sources that support claims and answers questions so any company sending reassurance about their specific AI was published to the internet and ChatGPT’s AI algorithms possibly, most likely, fpund it and reinstated it as part of the answer. That gives me reassurance knowing that there are companies specifically spearheading these outcomes and purposely avoiding them. Although we are dealing with bigger issues in the world, we don’t need another one.
